New Beginnings

Welcome to a cleaner, more scalable home of Drew Davies.

There are lots of plans for the new site, mostly as a portal page and information repository for myself, but I trust that it will be an interesting read for all of you out in the vastness of the internet tubes.

The backend is driven by WordPress and I hope to incorporate a number of plugins & widgets to make my life easier. This most recent version took me only minutes to install, but the customization of the plugins & widgets took longer than expected. Who would have thought that sorting your links would require so much effort… oh well.

Next up will be integration with jQuery for some clean javascript effects and PHP parsing of the pages that I view the most. As well, I’m trying to make things as mobile friendly as possible, mostly because I like to be able to check and update features of the site more and more these days.

Lets see how this goes…
